Dr Ashhad Noor
Dr Ashhad Noor is an ST3 Ophthalmology trainee at Moorfields Eye Hospital with a BSc (Hons) in Medical Education and a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education. Alongside his clinical training, he teaches medical students from UCL, Imperial College London and Barts, with a particular focus on making complex topics clear, practical and exam-focused.
He has successfully progressed through competitive specialty recruitment and ophthalmology training, and passed the Part 1 FRCOphth examination with the highest score of all candidates in his sitting. His combination of recent exam experience, clinical training and teaching experience allows him to provide practical guidance that is grounded in both academic knowledge and real-world experience.

Dr Mohammad Saleki
After deciding to apply for Ophthalmology just months before the application, Dr Saleki created a community for other applicants that turned into a 'National Ophthalmology Journal Club for Foundation Doctors' - with the aim of helping him and others get extra points on the portfolio. This, along with his organisational system and attention to detail, helped him achieve a top score and secure an ST1 post on his first attempt. Soon after, OptiMedic was created, merging his passion for community support and good-quality structured educational resources.
Since then, he has produced high-quality research, achieving publication success quickly, with multiple first-author papers published by his own initiative; he has given award-winning presentations at multiple high-impact conferences. All this experience has equipped him with invaluable insights and practical strategies that he applies when helping applicants optimise their own portfolios and excel in the competitive selection process.
